4 Star Hotel with 5 Star Location
A stunning country house hotel on the outskirts of southern Aberdeen, on the banks of the river Dee and overlooking the golf course of Peterculter on the opposite bank. Maryculter House Hotel is situated at the Gateway to Royal Deeside – on the road to Banchory, Ballater and Braemar. This idyllic location makes us ideal for those needing to be close to Aberdeen but wanting a rural setting in glorious countryside.
We are one of the famous and historic hotels in Aberdeen, with a classic reputation for hospitality – indeed, from the buildings founding in 1227 by the Knights Templar, this location has been offering hospitality to travelers from far and wide – and we continue to do so. We are famous for also being the house of one of the most famous survivors of the ‘Titanic’ – Cosmo Duff-Gordon and his wife, the celebrity couturier, Lady Lucy. We are proud of our history and reputation for hospitality and look forward to welcoming you to this unique and favoured hotel.
Maryculter is fiercely proud to be an independently owned and run country house hotel – one of a few left in Aberdeen – and this family atmosphere shows in its friendly classic service and attention. Besides the four star hotel we also offer fishing on our own private beat on the river Dee and our private woodland grounds also contain the original chapel and resting place of the Knights Templar: a unique historical feature.
Aberdeen International Airport is a short drive from the hotel and for those of you visiting by train from the North or South – the railway station is only around 6 miles away. Our location on the south side of Aberdeen also makes us ideal for those coming from the Southern cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, as you have no need to negotiate the traffic of the city and we offer complimentary parking.
With Maryculter House Hotel as your base, you are ideally located to explore Aberdeen – both city and shire and for the business traveler we promise a respite from the usual corporate hotel design and mentality.
